Community Groups are formed at each LFC worship location and meet at various times throughout the week or every other week for 1-2 hours. Our groups meet for approximately 10-12 weeks each semester in the fall and/or spring.
Groups also often get together to serve in the community, to celebrate birthdays, for girls’ or guys’ trips, for family dinners and more.
We have sign-up periods in the month leading up to each semester – we promise you’ll hear all about when they are coming! When groups are announced, you’ll be able to view a list sorted by location, day/time and description about who the group is best-geared for online and at Sunday services. Some groups will be just for women or men, others formed out of a specific life stage, but most love having a variety of ages and stages in the mix.
Every group will have its own mojo, but most involve a time of catching up, a time of study and discussion and close with a time of prayer.
We certainly hope so! In our groups, you’ll find folks of various faith backgrounds and levels of Biblical knowledge. You won’t be put on the spot or expected to have all the answers – we all have something to learn from one another.
Some host homes and groups are able to provide a babysitter or a space for older kids to hang out. Others will not. Make sure you check with individual group leaders for more information.
Well, we can’t promise you that things won’t get occasionally messy or that you’ll always agree 100% with what other people in your group say. But, we hope you’ll receive and give grace and acceptance at each turn in order to grow to be more like Jesus each day.
Email administration@lakeforest.org and our team will assist you with logging into your account.
The system allows you to select one of several funds to give to:
Online giving transactions are processed through a secure service provider. All transactions go directly to the church’s bank account.
Receipts of contributions are now accessible online through Realm. Your statement can be downloaded at any time, but you may always request a printed statement from Nick Biancofiore. Both online and mailed statements will show your total giving (online, at church and other various giving methods).
Contributions will be taken from your specified bank account within 48 business hours of the date you requested and will be deposited directly into the church’s bank account. This time frame allows for the contribution to process through your bank as well as the church’s. If the date of your contribution falls on a weekend or a holiday, the transaction will be initiated on the next banking day.
No, you will not pay any fees with an online gift. The full amount of your gift will be tax deductible.
Lake Forest Church pays a nominal, per transaction fee that is approximately 3%. Because of this fee, we discourage the use of credit or debit cards when making very large gifts if the donor has other payment options available.
For questions about our online giving system, please contact Jen Poppen.

From ties to Carolina Panthers jerseys, flip flops to cowboy boots, you’ll find people dress in whatever makes them feel most comfortable at our services – and we love that!
Nope, but if you’d like to bring a Bible or a notebook, that’s great too. Some folks use a Bible app on their smartphone, but we always have the Bible passages on the big screens so it’s easy for everyone to follow along. If you do not own a Bible, you are more than welcome to take one from our worship center to take home.
We use blended styles of worship to encounter God including rock, acoustic, electronic and americana. We love to take traditional hymns and share them in fresh ways, and take some of your favorite songs from the radio and direct them to God.
Each LFC worship community offers safe and fun children’s ministry programs for infants – 5th grade during both worship services. For more information, visit our Children’s Ministry Page or our Youth Ministry Page.
