LFC-Huntersville Serving Teams

LAKE FOREST CHURCH-HUNTERSVILLE SHARE TEAM OPPORTUNITIES

FIRST CONTACT

Feeling welcomed matters. And every role on our First Contact team directly impacts how welcome people – both new guests and old friends – feel when they arrive on our campus.

Parking Team: It can get crazy out there without this team! Help direct traffic flow, keep pedestrians safe AND wear a spiffy yellow vest to boot!

Greeter Team: Feeling welcomed matters. Provide warm and hospitable greetings by serving at one of the entrances and help new guests find their way. In addition, you will be responsible for taking up the offering and distributing Sunday morning materials.

Coffee Bar: Serve up coffee and lemonade with a smile! Coffee bar team members will also set up and tear down the coffee station and keep it stocked.

Info Center: Help new guests learn how we roll and answer their questions in the Info Center. You can be the start of helping others discover their role in God’s story at Lake Forest.

Sunday Prayer Team:
Following our worship services, we offer prayer in The Well. If you feel called to pray with and for others, come be a part of this care team. Confidentiality is important.

If you like meeting and talking to people and have a helpful and caring attitude, First Contact is a great place to share your gifts. Email Pamela Schwarz for more information.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

Join our Children’s Ministry team in providing a nurturing and dynamic environment to learn about and experience God in our Early Childhood and Elementary programs. There’s opportunity to greet and check-in families, lead small groups, provide technical support, sing, act, or create as you partner with parents on the spiritual growth of their children. Children’s Ministry is currently offered only at 9:30am but will return t0 the 11:05am in August.

If you have a heart for leading children and are eager to share God’s lessons and love, we hope you will consider a role in Kidtropolis. Email Kellee Olmsted to learn about specific opportunities.

YOUTH MINISTRY

Join a team of youth mentors who are walking alongside our middle and high school students as they navigate their teenage years and explore their faith. Our youth leaders serve by connecting with a few students each week, helping lead our weekly youth gathering and attending special events and retreats.

If you are faithful, dependable, relational and think teenagers are great, send Mike Hall an email.

WORSHIP ARTS & PRODUCTION

Whether it’s behind-the-scenes or on stage with the band, sharing your creative talents glorifies God and helps Lake Forest provide a fresh and inspiring environment each week for worship.

Aesthetics
These team members will help creatively design our physical space and keep it fresh, simple and inviting
through room design, lighting and other sensory additions.

Music (vocals and instruments)
If you were blessed with musical talents as a singer or instrumentalist and have a desire to share your
gift by leading others in worship, we’d love to meet you and learn about your background.

Video Camera Operators
Capture our band and speakers in action so we can share our worship services/events on screen and
online.

Lighting Technicians
Help create a worship environment that glorifies God and inspires our congregation…while working on a
sweet light board.

Computer Graphics Operators
Help lead worship by running lyrics and slides for our video broadcast and in the room worship experience. This is a critical role and is a great place to serve our congregation.

If you are ready to share your creative gifts for the kingdom of God email:
Tracy Grubbs for aesthetics and music.
Dusten Harward for cameras/lights/av.

HOSPITALITY

Special Event Host
Help host at special events such as weddings and funerals.

Meals Ministry Team
Do you like to cook and share your gift of preparing food with others? This team provides meals to those in our congregation who may be ill or grieving.

Breakfast Team
Do you like cooking for groups? This team provides meals for our worship and tech teams each Sunday morning. If you join this team you will be asked to cook breakfast once every other month.

Contact Pamela Schwarz for more information.

CAMPUS OPERATIONS

There’s a difference between hosting an event/class and hosting an event/class that runs smoothly. Logistics matter. Being ready matters. And that’s where our awesome Campus Operations teams shine.

Check-in Team: Sunday morning or week day opportunities.
Come be a friendly and helpful resource as folks register and check in for LFC programs, classes and
events using our computer kiosks.

Events Set-Up Team: Serve as duty calls.
Bring your “get it done” attitude and some muscle to help us transform our rooms (putting out chairs
and tables, setting up A/V equipment, etc.) for whatever event is up next.

If you are innovative, technical, have the ability to transform spaces, or have a general “get it done” attitude, email Jenn Poppen for more information.
