LFC-Huntersville On-Mission at Christmas

Lake Forest – you always show so much big-heartedness and care for others, especially at Christmas.

That’s why we are excited to share that the focus of our generosity this Christmas season is for the Lake Forest-sponsored Asia’s Hope orphanage in Kalimpong, India.

Throughout our history, the heart of LFC missions initiatives has been for vulnerable and at-risk children. In recent years, we’ve cared for children locally through the Christmas Village and Caterpillar Ministries toy stores. This year, we prayerfully discerned that the Lake Forest mission partner in greatest need this season is Asia’s Hope. (Rest assured, local families are being served through other toy store events in the area.)

Beginning December 8^th through Christmas Eve, we are asking you to pray and consider if God is calling you to sponsor one of the orphaned children in Kalimpong. The reality is that this orphanage is dependent on our cumulative support for its sustainability. Your giving will provide housing, food, Christian-based education and most of all, access to a loving family for children who come from unimaginable hardship.

How to get involved:

1. Choose an ornament from the trees in the lobby from Dec 8^th – 24^th. Each ornament represents a commitment to sponsor one specific child for $38/month beginning January 2020.
2. Take your ornament to the Asia’s Hope table so we can capture your contact information for next-step communication.
3. Email Maria Furlough if you would like to begin your sponsorship giving before the end of 2019.
