Kidtropolis Returns to LFC-Huntersville on February 7!

Hello LFC Families,

It is with GREAT joy that I email all of you to say, Kidtropolis will be returning with weekly, during-the-worship-service ministry on Sunday, February 7 for birth-5th grade!! (Capacity will be limited and pre-registration required.)

I have been waiting 330 days to bring this good news. For some of you, if will be 47 Sundays since we have seen your beautiful faces (but who’s counting? 😉). For those new to LFC, it will be a first introduction to our ministry. Either way, we’re excited to see you and we’re committed to ensuring a safe, welcoming and fun environment where every child learns about Jesus’ love for her or him.

LFC Leadership came to the decision to reopen after MUCH consideration and prayer. We heard and recognize that for many of you, in order to fully participate in worship, you need a place where your children are also engaged in age-appropriate ministry.

At the same time, we know many families are not ready to return to in-person gatherings and we understand that. That’s why we will continue to provide our weekly email and post worship videos on Facebook. If there’s something else that would help your family at home, please let us know.

Kidtropolis staff, along with members of our safety team, have worked hard on a plan to keep the health, security and safety of our children and hero volunteers at the forefront:

Here is what you need to know:

• Registration will open on Tuesday, February 2 at 10am.
• I will email out a link to register Tuesday morning, so it is easy for everyone to locate. Moving forward, you’ll be able to register every week at lakeforest.org/Huntersville.
• You MUST register every child by their appropriate age/grade and register yourself for worship service separately. This is VERY important.
• Capacity is eight spots open per room, with the exception of 20 preschool spots (Quad) and 25 Club 54 (Box). Do not panic, we have duplicate rooms for our toddlers and 2’s.
• If your child’s age/grade is full when you register, ALWAYS sign up for the waitlist. We have two overflow rooms that we will designate for age groups that have the most waitlist sign ups.
• Five years and older must wear a mask for the duration of Kidtropolis.
• All heroes and support staff will be masked and temperature-checked prior and to serving.
• We will not be serving Goldfish/snacks or switching rooms for large group time.
• After registration, prior to Sunday, you will receive a detailed email with drop off/pick up flow and protocol.
