ASP Trip 2021

ASP TRIP – FALL 2021

At LFC we are passionate about living like Jesus: on the Missio Dei (Mission of God). This fall, we’re once again partnering with Appalachia Service Project. ASP is a Christian ministry – open to all people – that inspires hope and service through volunteer home repair and replacement in Central Appalachia.

Here’s some details about this year’s trip:

WHO- This trip is open to all, and families are encouraged to take part in this missional opportunity together!  Any child 11+ (6th grade completed) can attend with a parent. High schoolers may attend without a parent.

WHAT- The team will spend two days working on various home improvement projects.

WHEN- Thursday, October 21 (arriving in Jonesville, VA by evening) through Sunday, October 24 (leaving Jonesville, VA in the morning). FYI, kids who attend Lincoln County schools have a remote learning day on the 22nd, so they won’t need to miss school for this trip.

WHERE- We’ll be serving in Jonesville, VA, which is a little over 4 hours away.

COST- The cost of the trip is $140 per person, but we have scholarships available.  Our meetings will start in late August, which is about the time we will need to start collecting money.
