At Lake Forest Church we be believe there’s always something new to be discovered and lived out in God’s story. Our student ministry is designed to disciple students as they take one more step in Christ’s direction. We invite ALL middle and high school students to find room at re:mix to be themselves and continue growing into the people God is calling them to be.
We host 1-2 events a month for our middle and high school students. Our hope is that any student missing opportunities to connect with people will join us and have a great time reconnecting with friends and making new ones! More information is in the calendar below.
At Lake Forest, we believe life is best lived when connected to a group, and community helps us navigate uncertainty and stability. We understand that family rhythms are different during this season, but hope your middle and high school students will join us on Mondays at 6:30-7:45pm at Sally’s YMCA. We’re excited to return to in-person discipleship and building a Christ-centered community for middle and high school youths!
Small Group FAQ:
What time should I drop off my student?
We ask that all students arrive by 6:30pm, so that we can make sure they get through their temperature screening and to their group quickly!
Other than temperature checks, what other Covid safety measures will re:mix be taking?
Just like Sunday morning services at the YMCA, everyone will be required to wear masks inside the facilities. We will have hand sanitizer for every student when they come in, and they will be shown right to the room where their particular small group will be meeting. All small groups will have their own room with enough space to socially distance. We have worked out number capacities with the YMCA to make sure groups have room.
Does my student need to bring anything to small group?
For now, just a Bible! The new feature about our group is that each group leader will be tailoring their small group to the age and gender of the students. That means no group will be exactly alike, so don’t be surprised if your student comes home with a journal, marker set, stickers, or bible study material. Leaders will communicate to small group parents if other things will need to brought from home.
