Note from Mike

Lake Forest-

On August 21, we’ll begin a new chapter of loving and serving God based in Huntersville and Davidson. It’s a meaningful time for all of us to recommit to the Christ-centered mission of Lake Forest Church – loving people as they discover and live out their role in God’s story. There is much to be excited about as we prepare to open the doors at the Davidson Campus and begin to expand our capacity on Gilead Road.

For us to stay true to the calling we felt from the LORD, we couldn’t all stay in Huntersville…so thank you to those of you who’ve told us God is calling you to be a missionary of God’s love at our Davidson campus! But we certainly can’t all go to Davidson. The rest of LFC tribe, as of today I’m asking you to therefore assume the Lord has called you to renew your missionary passion and actions at the Huntersville campus for the rest of this year.

Choosing to call Davidson home is for those who’ve prayerfully considered it a calling (more than just curiosity, a place or stylistic preference). And while we will ALL want to visit our sister campus in both directions from time to time as becoming ‘one church in two locations’ normalizes, I want to discourage you the next six months from calling both home and swapping week-to-week. That will not allow for you and those around you to develop a true sense of belonging. And staying in Huntersville does not mean keeping the status quo -we are re-upping as missionaries to our community, and in need of fresh servants and leaders.

Did I tell you I’m pumped to the 10th to see what God does, as we broaden our witness to the good news of Jesus Christ?

Your Fan,
Mike Moses
