LFCD’s ministry training programs seek to invest in the growth of God’s Kingdom through the development, encouragement, and investment in the future leaders of the Church. Currently, there are two programs throughout the year:
LFCD’s summer staff program is designed to help college-aged students grow personally, professionally, and spiritually. Summer staffers serve in a specific ministry area and are led and invested in by their ministry supervisor. The summer staff cohort also meets weekly and discusses a book throughout the summer. We want summer staffers to understand how, regardless of which career path they choose, their life is ministry.
The program lasts 10 weeks from June 1 into early August. Summer staffers are paid a stipend and housed with a host family if needed.
2021 summer staff class is at capacity, keep an eye out for summer 2022 applications (starting January 2022).

The LFCD Residency is an internship designed for talented, highly capable individuals who sense a call or are in the process of discerning a call to serve in vocational ministry. Residents will join the staff of our church in a specific ministry area and spend 12 months being discipled and developing practical tools for leadership and ministry, personal tools and disciplines for spiritual growth, and relational tools for influence and communication over a career in ministry. We want our residents to grow – as Christians, as people, and as future leaders of the Church.
The resident cohort is led in a yearlong curriculum deepening their knowledge and understanding of Scripture, experiencing a variety of spiritual disciplines and developing personal habits of prayer and personal study, and gaining deeper knowledge of themselves, their vocational call, and the Church. Residents are matched with mentors and have monthly meals with pastors, elders, and ministry partners who share reflections on life and ministry.
Residents are paid a monthly stipend and are placed with a host family from LFCD to live with and connect with throughout the year.
2021-2022 Resident class is at capacity (Addie Clark, Nic Caspio, Chandler Lawing, Sadie Harden, Noah Satterfield, Kennedy Manyika), keep an eye out for 2022-2023 applications (starting Jan. 2022).
